Question about Microsoft Certs.. and others

Hey guys I was hoping some of you could help shed some light on this! I was searching the web for a cert forum for some help and found this site!

Anyway, I guess this is more of a general question about certs. And I'm hoping I'm just not posting in the wrong section =\

Anyway, I'm still in college right now, last semester though and I have this senior class where the IT majors, which is me, were to choose between a 15+ page paper on a topic that interests you, a 2 hour or longer seminar on something, or a certification and I decided to do a cert. And since I really do enjoy the server side of things I kind of wanted to go with the Microsoft server 2008 cert.

Now I have 3 months to try to get this cert. And I have like a bunch of other crap to do for the end of the year as well, so in all reality I don't have much time and I'm not 100% sure that I can study/take/pass all 3 tests in 3 months, it sounds almost impossible to me.

So I guess my question is this: Is it even worth attempting to go for these certs in this short amount of time?

I do understand that certs are not EVERYTHING, but I kind of figured if I could do this i may get a better chance than someone who doesn't have one.. but yeah..

And if you guys had some other suggestions for some certs that would maybe be a little easier for the time I have that'd be awesome!

And again, if this is in the wrong section I'm sorry!!

Composite Exams 70-568 and 70-569

I want to do the two upgrade exams 70-568 and 70-569.

Both are composite exams. But does anyone know which exams they are composed of?

As far as I could determine:

70-568 is composed of 70-562, 70-505, 70-561
70-569 is composed of 70-536, 70-503, 70-565

Can anyone confirm?

Best way to Self Study

Hi all,

Im new to self studying. I have some CBTNuggets and Trainsignal videos, ebooks and vce's that ive collected to self study for a while now. I want to get my MCITS for Windows Server 2008 R2 (which I belive replaces the MCSE) please ocrrect me if im wrong.

Would anyone have tips for the best way to study? should I read the book then run through the videos? Should I leave the book and use just the videos, should I do everything? What sort of time should I look at before taking an exam (obviously once I feel ready) but is there an average time people plan to aim for when studying?

Also does anyone have any study plans that would be of use?

Regards
