subnet a 192.168.30.0 255.255.255.240
subnet b 192.168.30.16 255.255.255.240
using 1st ip of both nets for the PCs and the last ip of both for the default gateways (fa0/0, fa0/1 of the router)so 1 PC is xover straight to fa0/0 of router while the other PC is straight through cable to the switch then straight through to the router,both networks are added to the routing table,i used debug ip routing and saw both added when no shutdown after ip address added.both interfaces are up and up and from each pc i can ping its default gateway and from the router i can ping both PCs but i cannot ping from pc1 to pc2 or pc 2s default gateway and same from other pc cant ping other network,i have tried on my 3640 router and when that didnt work i tried my 3620 i think it is,i have not set any routing protocols but i thought i didnt have to as the router knows the other subnet is directly connected but did issue the ip subnet zero command and ip routing command but still the same,i have copied the arp table and adjacency table as follows
