Hi Guys,
I am bit confused and want to confirm if i bought a license for Linux 5.3 , Can i use the same license for Linux ?

From your question it seems that you have already purchased the license. I want to clarify that RedHat license is for product support only i.e. the Linux software is free. However, you have to be clear about number of processors for which you have paid.

Redhat licensing is for support and using their update repository. You have to register the machine with redhat to get updates for it. If you have a license for 5.3 that should cover you for the 5.x series, they have various levels(prices) of licensing which determines which software packages you can download from them.

I am in process of buying licenses for a company here, I was informed by the RedHat representative that the licenses shall be of RHEL 6 but the buyer shall be eligible to for support of version 5 as well.
