Cisco IOU Web Interface is a sort of experiment I wrote for a Cisco guy. Sometimes the guy needs a fast way to create Cisco IOU Laboratories without using a Linux shell. The purpose of My Web Interface is to create and manage Cisco IOU laboratories using a web browser. You can easily create, load, start, stop and delete labs built using IOU. The software create an image based on your NETMAP file.
Because I offer just a Linux RPM you need to install a Linux system (Red Hat / CentOS / Scientifc Linux). Because I don't offer any Cisco IOU binaries you need them (of course). I offer just the RPM because is is enough small to be easily shared. Moreover I don't have to worry about Cisco because it doesn't contains any Cisco materials. It's a sort of GNS3 which require Cisco IOS not included.
Installaction Instruction (excerpt)
1 - If you use VMware create a VM with 2 vNICS (or use my template HERE)
2 - Install Red Hat, CentOS or Scientific Linux, install also EPEL repository
3 - Upload your IOU binaries to /opt/iou/bin. Rename IOU binaries as following:
Instead uploading each files, if you have iou-bin-1.0.0-4.i386.rpm upload to /tmp and type "yum install /tmpiou-bin-1.0.0-4.i386.rpm"
4 - Upload your license to /opt/iou/bin/iourc
5 - Upload iou-web-1.0.1-4.i386.rpm to /tmp, login as root and type "yum install /tmp/iou-web-1.0.1-4.i386.rpm
6 - Now point your browser to the right IP and start using IOU Web Interface.
iou-bin-1.0.0-4.i386.rpm doesn't exists. It's just a referrer to IOU binaries. I suppose someone could build it and share somewhere. But I won't.
Because the software is under development read the complete instructions and the FAQs. You should guess the right link starting from the download link.
Asasel: someone is asking if we can merge our projects. I suppose I can modify my interface to import external Labs (a sort of packet manager). Contact me if you're interested in.
