Hello,

I was trying to do some network engineering using the L3 and L2 golden_spike IOU. My version is as follows:

Cisco IOS Software, Linux Software (I86BI_LINUX_L2-UPK9-M), Experimental Version 15.0(20120621:060510) [dstivers-june20-2012-golden_spike 101]

Initially I setup 1 HSRP group and it works fine. Now my problem occurs when I try to add another HSRP group (using the same or separate group number makes no difference). One works and the other one does not. The arp entries on the router where the HSRP does not work looks correct. Has anyone come across this? Is this a bug?

I have the same problem in unix solaris version of L2 (Golden_Spike) iou. HSRP, VVRP and GLBP have the same problem.
L3 no problem with HSRP, VRRP and GLBP, its perfect.

Hello Mickgrovatz,

thanks for the feedback and confirmation. It's kind of hard to use this as a traffic engineering tool, if it has omissions like this.

Hello,

a final update, replaced the l2 image with a l3 image and it works fine (with 2x HSRP groups)
While working on the l3 image, I think the proxy-arp feature works, but cannot be disabled.
