Guys...

I am trying to practice the Active / Standby failover scenario in GNS3. Every time when I try to configure standby address on the interface it gives me following error message...

"Cannot configure standby IP address because this unit lack failover license support."

When I looked into the "licensing" part, it said the Failover license is "disabled". May I know how to enable it?

Any one please help... I am running version 8.4 (2) on ASA 5520...

try this keygen which opens this stuff up, (note un-tested on gns3 but works on real gear)

this works like a charm on 5520's with greedy mode selected, 5505's just use 20-25 sessions where you have the drop downs....

You can also use activation-key command and then restart ASA to get failover licence.

else follow this link to solve the problem.

keygen is available for 5505 and 5540. prolly the same worked on real 5520 but not for 5520 8.4(2) on gns3. dice666 made one for 5520 but the link is dead.
