Those files are for vmware, but the .vmdk should work on qemu either.

when i tried to run iosv  l2  it doesnt run at console but l3 is running fine.  anybody want to share how can this be run on gns3 using qemu?

Update: Tried some functions...

Spanning-tree stp and rstp seems working fine.
L2 Etherchannel seems to work
L3 Etherchannel does not seems to work

Please check whether L2 IOs supports private Vlans and other L2 features not supported on current L2 IOUs
UPDATE: Private VLAN is supported...check the following

vIOS-L2-01(config)#vlan 10    
vIOS-L2-01(config-vlan)#?
VLAN configuration commands:
  are           Maximum number of All Route Explorer hops for this VLAN (or
                zero if none specified)
  backupcrf     Backup CRF mode of the VLAN
  bridge        Bridging characteristics of the VLAN
  exit          Apply changes, bump revision number, and exit mode
  media         Media type of the VLAN
  mtu           VLAN Maximum Transmission Unit
  name          Ascii name of the VLAN
  no            Negate a command or set its defaults
  parent        ID number of the Parent VLAN of FDDI or Token Ring type VLANs
  private-vlan  Configure a private VLAN
  ring          Ring number of FDDI or Token Ring type VLANs
  said          IEEE 802.10 SAID
  shutdown      Shutdown VLAN switching

I would say that this is more stable compared to L2IOU...

NX-OS seems comes with limited feature....when trying to enable some features, it will throw you the error
vNX-OS-01(config)# feature otv
Feature grace period is disabled

Haven really have much time to test out other features...

I am able to put IP address on port-channel interface...doesnt this mean that L3 port channel working ??
