Hi friend. Our Cisco ACE is end of support soon, so i need to choose new load balancer.
I choose between Citrix netscaler and F5 LTM. We made a test with virtual machines of two vendors in our enviroment.
The are technically meet our requirements, but Citrix have  better management (from ours view).
Who use it in production? What bugs did you get?

Choose which one you prefer. I've seen them both in BIG deployments. I do not think you will be able to make a difference.

F5 is a great piece of kit for sure..

I think the question has variables i.e are most your servers physical or virtual ?

F5 do a VE edition which can sit on your distributed virtual switch (if you use one, N1K say) to share that traffic around

likewise ACE has a great plugin for vCentre to also do a similar job, plus side here is the server teams and networking teams talk from the same hym sheet so to speak as they will have knowledge of of servers and vswitches etc

I have personally never used F5 (hopefully in the near future) but i find Netscaler, kind of awesome. You can't go wrong with either.

A10, Citrix Netscaler and F5 LTM are the famous load balancers. However, many believe F5 is the best one currently

For me, F5's are best. If you want use i suggest that use this F5 Guide for deployment.

In my mind it depends on the usecase of your environement.

Both are great and i know both.

If you need only a loadbalancer go for F5 if you have more usecases with an citrix environment (XD, XA, Application Firewall, Access from Intranet.... ) go for netscaler

hurry hurry and all up in the cloud i hope it never rains than ......

i am using citrix netscaler . i found it pretty good. once when you are in netscaler world you will start loving it. Its quite expensive than f5. Due to this many client don't go for citrix netscaler. But it is very good product to learn and explore.best about citrix netscaler is the support(TAC).

Dear Friend

Both are leaders but best is F5 why I say this is F5 Technical support is Awesome even if you take support online and ask them to configure your F5 from Scratch they do it for u Citrix is good but their support sucks we are partners with both being a solution provider company but we prefer selling F5 secondly F5 I rules are coolest feature you will ever use .
