Is there any other image that can support that?

FYI/FWIW:

There is a virtualized SRX product.  It is full-featured and uses virtual ge- interfaces instead of em interfaces.  It works, including zones, etc.  It's currently available to select Juniper Partners for testing.

Yes it can in VMware workstation 9 or VirtualBox. If you want to run it in VirtualBox make sure you have only one CPU selected... If you use VS9 or VB just make sure that you import the .ova file

Can't ping any interfaces, am I missing something? To add interfaces just add through network editor in vmware workstation.

You MUST enable the ping service under the trust zone and your interface. It is not enabled by default.

R1:
set security zones security-zone trust interfaces ge-0/0/0.0 host-inbound-traffic system-services ping
commit

R2:
set security zones security-zone trust interfaces ge-0/0/0.0 host-inbound-traffic system-services ping
commit

And ping should work now....
