Has anyone managed to get this working in kvm? I'd like to add it to my proxmox server but I can't convert the image.

[email protected]:~$ qemu-img convert -O qcow2 junos-vsrx-12.1X46-D10.2-domestic-disk1.vmdk junos-vsrx-12.1X46-D10.2-domestic-disk1.qcow2
qemu-img: error while reading sector 131072: Invalid argument

there is a separate file for the KVM you have to have that file for proper functionality.

Can you technically use this VM indefinitely? I don't see a license expiration date.

The juniper fast track is a great place to start learning juniper and junos. Also, the JNCIS-SEC videos by CBT Nuggets are awesome for SRX stuff!

Have vSRX up and running in esxi 5.5. Basic connectivity tested and working with RIP.

Question : Currently using ge-0/0/0 for access (ssh). Is there a way to access directly via console ? Currnet Output...(cut)....for show int terse...

Interface    Admin Link Proto Local Remote
ge-0/0/0 up up
ge-0/0/0.0   up up   inet 10.0.0.3/24

------------------

Figured it out....just use serial port and the URI address of the host (not vCenter).

Hi,

The CPU goes sky rocket when I open more SRX VMs (at 5 it stays at 90-100%). Is there any way to keep the cpu low in vmware (similar to idle value in gns3) ?

Thanks

FTR: if you are having trouble to get firefly working under virtualbox try to do the following:
import the OVA with vmware workstation/player and boot it
make sure the VM has at least 1gig of memory
export the VM into OVF and import it with virtualbox
make sure all nics in virtualbox are Intel Server 1000 MT

you should have to trouble to see and use the nics
