any vm is "supported" that qemu is able to start, btw there is another question does the vm itself support the serial link (for console session)? or its stdout is the main "console". I don't exactly known these v**** images, check the official sites for more information about its properties.

Anyone know how to run this in vmware workstation on Windows, pls share the step by step procedure. Steps like what are the VM settings, how to run juniper RE and PFC in the same VM. Are ge interfaces created under workstation in windows? Why commiting changes or any config changes takes forever etc? Pls explain these if someone have any ideas. I am taking about this new 14.1 r5.

The closest thing I found to an answer about the RE0 - MCP2 files was this:

The virtual MX deployment had two phases:
Phase 1 based on Junos 14.1 having the Routing Engine and the virtual PFE in the same virtual machine (with a note that releases above 14.1R4 need a tweak to enable the local PFE instead of using a separate VM)
Phase 2 based on Junos 14.2 splitting the RE and PFE in different virtual machines and using an IP connection between them for communication

Info from here

At one point, I'd found a doc that showed how vMX 14.2 would be used in a lab simulation scenario (with diagrams), but I can't find the link right now, for some reason.

Also, having Ivy bridge as a minimum reuired CPU is gonna suck balls, since I currently have a Sandy Bridge. Gonna wait to see how Skylake-E or Broadwell-E (if Intel doesn't cancel it) pan out before I upgrade.

This isn't the Juniper document I referred to earlier (still can't find it), but here's a good post on how to get vMX 14.1R5-4-1.tgz from the baidu  link up and running in Ubuntu.

I really wish I could find that other document, since it said that for lab simulation, vMX would require a minimum of an Ivy Bridge CPU, 8GB RAM, and 8 4 vCPUs devoted to it. There was also a diagram of how it would "look" from a system standpoint. It also listed the requirements for 2 other deployment scenarios.

Hey guys, could anyone get this media-srx-ffp-vsrx-vmdisk-15.1X49-D15.4-disk1.vmdk to work? I get it from this media-srx-ffp-vsrx-vmdisk-15.1X49-D15.4.ide.ova file. On UNL after setting up this image, when I play it just stays with a blank screen even though the play icon says it's running.

Any advice would be totally welcome.

Cheers.
