In H2+, any idea which way is better, replace AS65006 or use local-as 65001 towards R1?

If we are replacing with AS65001, how do we use AS65001 for the requirement: "All BGP sessions between Jacob's core and remote sites (including headquarters and office networks) must be recovered using the new AS number"?

Thanks

Delete config re-build using as-number 65001.
For peering with CE you will need local-as 65006

Thanks Toghrul,

But doesn't that break the requirement?
- All BGP sessions between Jacob’s core and remote sites (including headquarters and office networks) must be recovered using the new AS number

And any reason why we are not using the same method in H2?

I use this method in both h2 and its +.
They mean that you must recover i.e establish peering between core and CE devices. For me ,they refer what I wrote in previous comment.

Btw, what method do you use in h2?

Thanks, that makes sense! I use local-as from the core to R1, but replacing the As is the better solution.

so why cant we just skip the bgp for 65006 in the first place and just jump to this section and create the 65001 and use local-as  65006
