Does anybody has a topology for the VCAP6-DCV lab ? I mean, IP addresses, DataCenters, esxi hosts, VM in labs, etc ? Thanks .

Hey Cert. Topology is not important. All the tasks are based on configuring vCenter/VMs/ESXi. VCIX6-DCV certified. I was thinking the same when I was getting ready, realised during exam prep and exam itself that topology was not that important. Knowing the topology for VCIX-NV does help with thinking of things logically. DCV, not so much. For example, I got a question on configuring NFS share using new VMK - networking overall info was not important. Just the info they provided in the question was enough to get it working. The exam focus is on testing DCV skills not networking as such like NV. Hope this info helps.

Thanks. Would be still good to know how things are set up initially. Knowing the topology probably save a few mins of time, and minimise careless mistakes, etc.

CertCollect69 this is not CCIE R&S or SP or... This is an exam to test you in configuring vCenter, ESXi, VMs as lunt said. Why don't you trust someone who is telling you is VCIX in DCV ?

Of course if you are happy having a topology try CCIE RS, there you will need topology doc for sure.

Thanks, but why are you unhappy with people having a different viewpoint from you ? If you don't have one, so be it. If you don't like alternative viewpoints, just ignore them, who are you to tell anybody what certification to try ?

CertCollect69 it is not a matter of happiness or unhappiness. Of course you have not understand my irony and sarcasm.

Forget about it and please understand what I tried to tell you: It is a matter of learning to listen to or learning to read.

Lunt has wasted  his/her time to let you know you don't need at all any topology and you insist again asking for a topology.

If you ask for help you have to listen what people say and respect the time they take for you. Do you understand ? It is not a mater of viewpoint it is a matter of respect other people's time. Otherwise you are at risk of nobody answering your demands.  Again CertCollect69, Do you understand ? I hope you do !

Nevertheless apologies for any inconvenience in my previous post. Of course I was joking.

So answering your request: you don't need any kind of topology for this exam. As Lunt said: "All the tasks are based on configuring vCenter/VMs/ESXi" Lunt = VCIX6  certified. I trust her/him and also because it is common sense. I am VCIX-NV and I did not need any topology at all to pass the exam. So in DCV topology it is even of lesser importance
