CCNA Lifetime Validity

Hello,
Guyz  I am not sure this is the correct thread to put my question but I am too curious to know this one ...

I have heard that If we give CCNA and a paper of CCNP mostly Switching we get a life time CCNA validity. I know if sounds a little absurd but well I heard it from few ppl. I know Cisco has a 3 year Validity process but here is a thread from Cisco Community for the same ask the same thing... Experts and regulites please help me with this one....

no, passing CCNP exam will only extend.
