Hi,

I am exploring a use case where in I need to store some files on a FC switch. Just wanted to check if there are methods/interfaces to create/manage and update text files on FC switches

Details of the use case
4 systems connected to a FC switch with the required zone in place.
I need to create a file from 1 server on to the FC switch. The other nodes would modify the file contents.

Is this possible? If yes, please let me know different ways to get this done, Authentication that would be required and also would the files created be persistent to switch reboot.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks & Regards
Ranjit

Well another very old post. But for those who wonder:

an FC Switch is no place to store files... The only files you might eventually store on your FC Switch is a configuration file to apply easily and fast a new configuration, or firmware files during a firmware update operation.
