Hello chenoi,

You can use this image directly in GNS3 through Virtual Box (if you are using the latest version). GNS3 now supports Virtual Box, olive runs faster in virtual box than Qemu.

But if you insist on getting a Qemu image, then you can convert the image in vmdk format to img by using the following command:

C:Program FilesGNS3>qemu-img.exe convert -f vmdk Olive12.1R1.9.vmdk -O raw Olive12.1R1.9.img

Will try to upload a Qemu image later today

All the best mate

Find below for link to Qemu image for junos 12.1R1.9:

Hi futuredon,

I haven't try virtual box before anyway I will give a try and try run in GNS3.

At the mean time will also try to convert the vmdk file to image format, if convert to image can I use and run in the GNS3.

Thank you bro will try both option. I hope this could give me something to start in GNS3

Yeah Bro...Once you convert to image format, you can use this in GNS3, i have tried this a lot of times. But like i said, i have switched to Virtual Box since it is much faster..

Wishing you the best mate

2. I try setup VB in the GNS3 and test setting but it show Can't connect Vb on 127.0.0.1 port 11525, do i miss something here.

try simulate using junos qemu but cannot console got error "unknown option -wt".

seems with this error i need to get back to 0.8.3.. will test more...

Hello, OS template on the Virtual Box should be FreeBSD, that is what Junos is based on...

Take your time, this should not be that difficult...

Try again

I hope you guys don't have firewall/antivirus issues on your systems...Have you tried disabling your firewall and then test again. I have not encountered any issues running this...

Also are you running this on a Windows 32bit system? if yes then check the following:

There is a bug in the vbox wrapper running on Windows for 32bit systems, this has been fixed.
