It is amazing tool.

I checked L3VPN, Multicast PIM, Aggregated LACP, L2VPN and VRRP.

All is working, except in VRRP virtual-address not responding. And VPLS is not working.

But it is cool, you can learn things that you can't on Olive in GNS3. Many thanks to this upload!

Rest of the features are available in next release ( in December 2013)

Very exciting. In the meantime, Kompella draft L2VPN (BGP-signalled) works well.

How can I link this up with a GNS3 topology for instance?

Thanks for the share, very hard to come by.

Has anyone got this working in VirtualBox? I was able to get the image to boot by changing the processor value to one, however I cannot get any ethernet interfaces recognised. There is no ge0 or em0 regardless of the driver I use. Please help.

Hi what would be with FireFly after end of 29 day trial period?

[email protected]> show system license

License usage:

Licenses Licenses Licenses Expiry

Feature name used installed needed

all 0 1 0 29 days

I want to use it for lab purpuse to emulate my network with Cisco csr1000

CSR1000 - have only throughput license limitation. So it well fit in lab enviroment, but what with FireFly?

P.S.

Anyone use family bridge or ehternet switching with FireFly?

SRX650

srx650-1# set interfaces ge-9/0/3 encapsulation flexible-ethernet-services unit 0 family ?

Possible completions:

+ apply-groups Groups from which to inherit configuration data

+ apply-groups-except Don't inherit configuration data from these groups

> bridge Layer-2 bridging parameters

> ccc Circuit cross-connect parameters

> ethernet-switching Ethernet switching parameters

> inet IPv4 parameters

> inet6 IPv6 protocol parameters

> iso OSI ISO protocol parameters

> mlfr-end-to-end Multilink Frame Relay end-to-end protocol parameters

> mlfr-uni-nni Multilink Frame Relay UNI NNI protocol parameters

> mlppp Multilink PPP protocol parameters

> mpls MPLS protocol parameters

> tcc Translational cross-connect parameters

> vpls Virtual private LAN service parameters

FireFly

[email protected]# set interfaces ge-0/0/0 encapsulation flexible-ethernet-services unit 0 family ?

How I run Firefly on VBox: I opening downloaded ova file on vmware player. Loaded once from this vm, Close. Create vitrual machine on VirtualBox and select vmdk file from vmware virtual machine (HDD). That's all. But, you know. Interfaces on VBox don't initializated on FireFly like "ge", Therefore, I used vmware. Also this virtualization platform (like me) faster
