Cisco Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv)

Recommended Posts

This is Licensed with Anyconnect inside

Management IP :192.168.157.10

Username: cisco

Password: cisco

No enable password

This does not work for me................After the second boot I get the error message that the license is no good and it reverts back to being Unlicensed.

Noticed that if you create your new VM by saying that you "copied it" the serial number changes every time.............this is obviously why the license fails.

**** Tried again by "moving it" instead of "copying it" and the VM crashed and rebooted about 4/5 times before successfully loading with a good License.

UPDATE:

After Reloading my machine in order to enable one of the Virtual Networks the VM now just crashes and reloads............crashes and reloads.............constantly..

This is no good................how can you possibly use this as any sort of reliable test mechanism................it is 100% flaky..............back to v8.4 on GNS3 for me.................

Try Cisco ASA Keygen

You can dowload it by search from google.

They only one I can find on google is the 5540 for 8.21...................is there another one out there...???

When I try to use this one the license key fails and it just causes the ASA to crash and go into a boot loop..........................

many thanks.

Does ANYONE know how to get this VM to talk to the HOST machine...????

I've tried Bridging to my WiFi subnet andthis does not work.

I've tried Host-Only and again this does not work.

Does not matter what IP address I give any interface which is then mapped the relevant VMNet adapter, I cannot get the VM to talk to the Host.

many thanks.

Will this virtual machine work on 32-bit OS? Or 64-bit OS needed?

I have VmWare Server 2.0 on Windows 2003 32bit

After running virtual machine and going to console

I see message

Loading ASA21-smp-k8.bin... Booting...

And it hangs forever...

I did install VmWare Server 2.0 2 on Windows 2008 64bit.

ASA did boot , but crashes every time.

I removed VmWare Server 2.0 2 and setup instead VmWare Player 6.0.3 build-1895310,

latest on product site.

But no changes. ASA keeps crushes.

I tried to run first image (without config), tried second (configured, with license),

all just the same. I was opening existing .vmx, or creating new with .vmdk files,

but no difference, it crushes in endless loop.

What else can I to do to make it work?

Strange thing. Somehow I manage to run it on VmWare Player 6.0.3.

I don't know, how, but it started and now is up and running.

With all licenses.
