Thanks much, the Andrea books look very helpful. Much more than this stupid INE video course on implementing ASAs that I've been trying to decode - what a train wreck.

Disagree with some of your judgemnt: Here is why

1. Cisco ASA All-in-One Next-Generation Firewall, IPS, and VPN Services, Third Edition 2014.pdf

I agree this is a very good book. if you are beginer just read chapter 1 -4 :-) the rest of chapters are advance topic mainly for CCIE candidates

2. Cisco-ASA-Firewall-Fundamentals-3rd-Edition-01.pdf

Disagree with this one, i wouldn't call this a book on network security - it is a tutorial on how to configure ASA with out the thoery of Networking Security such as crptography... i personally found it very tough to troubleshoot anything without learning the theory!

3. Cisco-VPN-Configurtion-Guide-01.pdf

The same reason as 2

4. Security.FIREWALL.642-618.Official.Cert.Guide.May.2012-By-Yasir-Imran.pdf

I agree, but very cisco centric, focused on certifcation and tough to trasfer your knowledge to ther vendors. I work with different vendor security box such as juniper, checkpoint , palo alto so this might not apply to everybody!

Most CCNPs already watched videos and are having trouble with implementation there's not much technologically to go around in the ASA.

PS: Palo alto is great but checkpoint is trash
