Hello All,

I'd like to make this topic as "passed SPROUTE 642-883" to discuss the study material and dumps that are valid..

I passed today..

Study Material:

1- IP Routing on Cisco IOS, IOS XE, and IOS XR An Essential Guide to Understanding and Implementing IP Routing Protocols.... I bought it from Amazon..

It's a comprehensive material. Released December 2014, so it's pretty recent release... You will learn a lot from it when it comes to IOS-XR..

2- Watched few videos CBT Nuggets CCNA service provider for Jeremy, it's already in shares on this website

3- I didn't check these videos, but looks like it's worth checking it, as it's not only SPROUTE, but also for SPCORE and SPEDGE. You have to pay 250$ to get a year of access. But definitely this is better than nothing

It took me pretty long time, as I work and study, so it took me like 3+ months on and off and it was like a miracle when I found this study guide..

Labs and practice:

I used for labs GNS3 starting 1.0 version till 1.3.1 which is recently released. I created complex topologies. I don't know without GNS3 in the market what would we do specially for IOS-XR

Dumps:

Cisco.642-883.Compilation.2012-11-26.by.DD.82q is 100% valid

However that drag and drop about OSPF LSA types in different areas. I don't think the answer is correct in the dump. I answered what I think is correct and I got 91% in OSPF topic which's probably due to this drag and drop and my answer is wrong, not really not sure

Exam itself:

72 questions in 90 minutes

2 simulators

1- OSPF

2- ISIS

the 2 simulators took me like 30 minutes or something but it's pretty straight forward

one question was outside the dump which is related to BGP AS-Path regex which is pretty straight forward if you know basic REGEX

Good luck to you all guys

60 questions - 90 minutes. Really tough

no simulations

2 completely new drag & drops.

a lot of questions about NSF, NSR, BFD, Tier ISPs,

You need to know ISIS and BGP really well to pass.

existing dumps with 82q and 130q are not valid at all. (only 5 questions from there)

Regards,

Search for the student guides and read them carefully twice. Then you know everything you need to know to pass the exam. Good luck!

Hi guys, I recently passed SPROUTE. I did what Tommetje has recommended, and I strongly advise reading twice the student guides too, and also I recommend reading IP Routing on Cisco IOS, IOS XE, and IOS XR An Essential Guide to Understanding and Implementing IP Routing Protocols (well only the IGP, BGP and High Availability part for this exam). I've also read the BGP chapter from the SPADVROUTE student guides, and it helped too, because there were some route reflector questions as well. For the BGP part I would also recommend Keith Bogart's BGP Details and Implementations Part1-3 from INE and Jeremy Cioara's old CCIP BGP videos. You have to know well the ios xe and ios xr syntaxes for ospf/ospfv3/is-is/bgp, nsf/nsr/bfd and also the difference between the different kind of Service Providers (Tier 1,2,3, NSP and NAP). Good luck everyone!
