CCNP DC 300-180 New Question & finding the solution

Recommended Posts

Hallo @ all,

Yes, unfortunately i have to confirm CZV, Cisco has added roundabout 20-30 new questions & had in the exam totally 75q.

But the some of the new questions are basically same old question, but they change the answers or new formulated the question something link that….

I had two drag & drop questions:

1. FCOE quiring level drag and drop …. Was not so difficult but to understand that they wand from u was difficult (like all the Cisco questions)

Answer is: higher quiring nr: 6,7,8 in the upper drag and drops and the 4 in the down drag & drop box.

2. Was in nexus ISSU update failer u. u have to upload the image to the bootflash and install process.

Thex keep the steps very basic, u have to read the answers carefully and put them in order.

I remember there was a another question with 1000V: and I click the answer: “reset”

here are the 299 VCE exam + new 36 questions.

Hi Terrowolf

In nq-8e-policy there will not be any no drop queue so will it be suitable for FCoE in storage VDC. So I think nq-8e-policy will not be choose for FCoE system qos. Remaining policies will have at least one no drop queue

awaiting your responses..

CZV please help me.

hi terrorwolf and czv may i know what is your answer for this Q.

You are troubleshooting a remote Cisco UCS environment that has Cisco UCS 2208 I/O

Modules. Some of the links from the IOMs to the UCS Fabric Interconnect fail to work as

expected. You check whether the SFP is in place and the state of the IOM ports. Which

command do you use to view the MAC and PHY status to determine whether the SFP is detected

in the IOM?

A. show platform software redwood oper

B. show platform software woodsideoper

C. show platform software woodsidests

D. show platform software redwood post

thanks

Ques 1 : Ans should be C

Possible Cause

The core switch might not have been enabled for NPIV.

Ques 2 : I think AB

Q1 is hard to understand. If you check my link you can find exactly the same example:

NPV

NP Uplink ports on NPV edge switch are stuck in initializing state

NP uplink ports connected to the core NPIV switch do not come online and are stuck in an initializing state.

Possible Cause

The core switch might not have been enabled for NPIV.

Example:

switch(config-if)# sh int fc2/2

fc2/2 is down (Initializing)

Hardware is Fibre Channel, SFP is short wave laser w/o OFC (SN)

Port WWN is 20:42:00:0d:ec:a4:3b:80

Admin port mode is NP, trunk mode is on

Solution

  • Check the status of the NPV external interfaces.
    Check that the NPIV is enabled on the core switch.

Example:

switch(config-if)# sh npv status

npiv is disabled

disruptive load balancing is disabled

External Interfaces:

====================

Interface: fc2/1, State: Failed(NPIV is not enabled in upstream switch

Interface: fc2/2, State: Failed(NPIV is not enabled in upstream switch)

Interface: san-port-channel 200, State: Down

  • If NPIV is disabled, then enable NPIV on the core switch.

Example:

switch(config)# feature npiv

It says: "Check the status of the NPV external interfaces. Check that the NPIV is enabled on the core switch."

The core switch is the Nexus 5000 IMO.

Q2: check the link under the section: "Troubleshooting a Domain ID conflict" - read this sentence:

"If two switch fabrics with two or more switches are connected, and both fabrics that have switches with the domain ID already assigned and the auto-reconfigure option is disabled (this option is disabled by default), the E ports that are used to connect the two fabrics will be isolated. "

So if you have the same ID you will need to turn on reconfiguration - otherwise the fabric will be isolated because of overlapping ID.

I'm reading the PDF and today I checked all the questions up to the number 150. Here are my thoughts. Feel free to comment / correct.

Q15/Q81 KVM session to be successful - which two of these need to be done?

A - IMC IP needs to be assigned on the admin tab

D(?) - server needs to be fully discovered

Not sure about D - it is probably the most login answer but actually it doesn't make too much sense.

================

Q16 As a UCS admin you decide to integrate C-Series into a UCS manager - which 2 will you purchase?

A - two fabric interconnects

C - two fabric extenders

(not sure)

Q17 Which 3 ucs server components can be upgraded via host firmware package?

A - BIOS

F - Adapter

G - board controller

BUT here it says you can upgrade also CIMC (Cisco IMC - D):

Q18 which 3 methods can be used to upgrade the Cisco IMC?

A - host package

D - management package

?

I can't find any documentation related to the last 3 senteces, the upgrade process via browser is documented here:

Regarding the A and D:

"Cisco UCS no longer supports the creation of new management firmware packages. You can modify and

update existing management firmware packages, if desired. However, we recommend that you remove

the management firmware packages from all service profiles and use host firmware packages to update

the Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) on the servers.

This policy enables you to specify a set of firmware versions that make up the management firmware package

(also known as a management firmware pack). The management firmware package includes the Cisco Integrated

Management Controller (CIMC) on the server. You do not need to use this package if you upgrade the CIMC

directly."

================

Q19

I believe it is "A"

Using vPC you can have cross link:

================

Q22

You are installing Server 2k8 R2 on a UCS C210 and it doesn't see the local storage on LSI MegaRaid

A - driver is not included in the installer DVD

All windows drivers (not included) must be installed via F6. Check Q32 / Q38 for confirmation.

================

Q24

Sucessfully install ESXi 5.0 on UCS B200 - reboot and get the message "select proper boot device or insert boot media"

A - connect to the nx-os shell and run show npv flogi-table

C - validate the boot target WWPN and LUN ID

Q26

Which 2 represent the correct way to bind VSAN11 to int vfc5?

A - int vfc 5 / bind int eth1/5 vsan 11

B - vsan database / vsan 11 int vfc5

This question is correct but the answer A is misleading: the command is: "int vfc 5 / bind int eth1/5" without the "vsan 11" at the end.

Q139 (hotspot)

Reason that no C-Series can access FC storage from Nexus 554SUP?

A - zoning mode mis-match with the MDS 9124

Q141 (hotspot)

Reason that no C-Series can access FC storage from Nexus 554SUP?

C - VSAN mis-match

I believe the right one is A

================

Q143

External storage to SAN boot UCS B Blades. Servers also have internal disks. One of them fails to boot from san.

C - LUN masking on the storage

D - boot orderd of the blade server
