QUESTION 51

Which statement about configuring certificates for BYOD is true?

A. An Android endpoint uses EST, whereas other operating systems use SCEP for enrollment

B. The SAN field is populated with the end user name.

C. An endpoint certificate is mandatory for the Cisco ISE BYOD

D. The CN field is populated with the endpoint host name

Answer: C should be wrong, B and D should be also wrong. Couldn’t find a confirmation regarding A, but it’s the only left answer and might be correct (

I think I would even go with mandatory certificates, as of this thread:

Comment:

I read somewhere that EST is irrelevant while SCEP is in place. I'm using SCEP, as stated in the official guides and books. Could you confirm this please?

Sadly, this was not confirmed but it shows that Android does use SCEP.

So with A, B, and D being wrong only C remains, which additionaly fits the best practise.

I have seen that MSCHAPv2 is supported for BYOD authentication, does that confirm to you certificates are not madatory?

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
