Earn Valuable Time Extensions on Your Cisco CCNA, CCVP, CCDA, and CCDP Certifications

The Cisco Exam CoLaboratory project is a program through which you can earn a time extension on your Cisco certification in exchange for your help authoring and reviewing Cisco exam items.

As a Cisco certification holder, you know that Cisco certification exams are among the most highly regarded in the world, greatly due to our rigorous exam development process. We work extensively to develop exams that evaluate the skills that Cisco certified professionals must demonstrate. At Cisco, we believe that the IT professionals who do the everyday work of running networks are the best experts to help us develop our exams.

With the Cisco Exam CoLaboratory program, we leverage the expertise of people like you to help make Cisco certifications more relevant, dynamic, and secure.

We are currently seeking qualified individuals to help author and review exam items for the ICND1, ICND2, CVOICE, DESGN, and ARCH exams. Cisco will provide accepted candidates with comprehensive online training on how to author exam items. When you have satisfied your item-writing goal and the project concludes, Cisco will extend your certification for one full year!

As part of the Cisco Exam CoLaboratory project, we will train you to author assessment items according to established Cisco certification standards. You will collaborate with a virtual workgroup of individuals to create the best exam items possible, while never having to leave your home base.

Requirements

Acceptance into the pilot program is based on meeting these criteria:

* You hold a current Cisco CCNA®, CCVP®, CCDA®, or CCDP® certification.

* You have a minimum of two years of current experience in an appropriate job role.

* You complete a short application form and submit your resume.

* You are willing to sign a participant agreement.

* You submit three sample exam questions. (You will receive reference documentation on how to author exam questions. Additional training will be provided if you are accepted into the program.)

* You can dedicate 5 to 7 hours per week to this project over an 8-week period of time (August 2, 2010 to September 24, 2010). In this timeframe, you will author and review exam items. The time commitment is equivalent to the time that it would take most people to prepare for their certification renewal exam.

The Cisco Exam CoLaboratory Team will review all applications and resumes to determine program admittance, based on the background and experience of all candidates. Please note that we will not accept all applicants, and we will contact you only if you are accepted into the program.
