Setup a windows 2003 RIS server

 

here's a guide I put together to teach you how to setup a RIS server in 3 easy steps.

 

Note: this download is for Windows 2003 Server GOLD (ie: no service pack's installed yet)

[at] jayan006: the above file is easy to use (For RIS) and remember for configuring the RIS you need at first:

 

1.Install the RIS service or the Windows Deployment Services from the add/remove windows components from Control Panel.

2.You should have a DNS, DHCP and Active Directory for this.

3.Run risetup to start taking the image to use on the clients.

 

note: you have to make the server authorized first>> use the DHCP for this by using (add authorized server) in the DHCP snap in.

 

now if you search the forum you will find for the sysprep & RIS either articles or videos (in the MS share sections in the MCSE videos).
