  12. it next virtualisation step, not only app virtualisation , but you have also control on iops, cpu .... and all applications are isolated from the others, on a same bare metal os that s to say for example, i can use it over esxi , install multiple coreos , and then run multiple apps on each coreos, as far as i saw , it s not that evangelized in prod environment, but my guess is that s coming sooner or later, maybe sooner hope this helps [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]

  14. Hi, i understand your challenge,i have to say that i faced the same decision some years ago when switching from business intelligence to infrastructure, and as far the years passed, i felt somehow guilty or something like that , because i was affraid to loose that background (i surely lost some by the years). The only thing i can tell you, is that i really love my job (i work on VMWare,Citrix,Microsft,EMC and netapp) , and this led me to keep it for years (premier for me, i used to change from one company to another a lot when programming), and this led me to be independant consultant. When speaking about programming, scripting using powershell or linux is a real need , and quite exciting for me too Cheers

  17. Hi , hope you already began your path since january, for vmware , you have to keep in mind that you have to sit an official course to get vcp certified, althought , there are some associate certifications , vca exams that you can directly book for, you ll have options for virtual instructor let courses or onsite courses depending on your availability, you can check the vmware site for an exhaustive list of training center nearby Cheers
  18. Hi serinabraham, as you are a linux guy, i advise you to go with redhat , as it 1 of the 4th leaders in virtualisation (which is really a prerequestite in our daily job as well as san storage) good luck
