  1. O IA is the right answer Why? - In a totally stubby area the ASR will supress type-5 (E1 or E2) or any type-3 SLAs from the backbone area for other areas and only flood the default route as *O IA within the totally stubby area. default-information originate always is considered as external route (type-5 LSA) And also I did replicate this in lab using gns3.
  2. It is C/D, A is wrong cause "... a pair of NNIs" and it should be "...UNIs "
  3. C is saying enabling next-hop-self And as the document say, you must disable next-hop-self, not enable it. so E is correct.
  4. Hi, page 389 and 390 of the book ccie routing and switching v5.0 official cert guide, Volume 2, explains pretty good. and this is how an embedded rp is constructed - FF7 <Scope> :0< RP interface ID >< Hex prefix length >:< 64-bit RP prefix >:< 32-bit group ID >:< 1–F > and if you want the scope to be global, you gonna use "E". so it will be FF7E.....
  5. Link State ID on type 3 LSA its not advertised subnet, is the summary network number (attached file) which applying the lenght (which relies on the mask you summarized it) in it, the router will know the Summary IP address network. The question asks for 3 piece of information. IP subnet is not a piece of information in the LSA type 3 by itself, it is the result of couple different processed information inside the packet (LSA) (Lenght + Summary Network Number contained in Link State ID) The Network Mask field in type 3 is the mask which the router is using in its FIB for the summary route pointing to null. Well, I am sharing my thoughts but no doubt its a tricky question.
  6. Q58 - the attached file has all you need to answer this question =)
  7. BGP as-path filters ! router bgp 65500 neighbor LocalSite peer-group neighbor LocalSite password 7 13579ACE45580A12 neighbor LocalSite ebgp-multihop 2 neighbor LocalSite update-source Loopback0 neighbor LocalSite next-hop-self neighbor LocalSite route-map CheckCommunity in neighbor LocalSite route-map CPodPeer out ... ... ... end If you check the configuration, its missing the "neighbor LocalSite remote-as {ASN}" and "neighbor {Neighbors IP} peer-group LocalSite". Then without these commands there is no Peering, answer should be A.
  8. Alright guys, but where is the peering configuration, its missing the neighbor LocalSite {neighbor´s IP address} statement.. so it cant form the peer, therefore no routes will be advertised. IMO answer is A
