Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) Robert W Kembel [Hidden Content]
I took the exam yesterday , but I failed . I had issues with VPC and spend lot of time resolving the same, could not get past it. I could not get vpc keep alive to come up at all, not sure what was I doing wrong. some pointers would be helpful. I got Old lab , and I used vpc peer-keepalive as L3 interface pointing to core router on dc17k3 , I had put in following command . OSPF was running and I could ping both interfaces from each vdc. vpc domain 1 peer-keepalive destination "dc17k4 ip to the cloud" vrf default source "dc17k3 ip to the cloud" on the dc17k4 , i did reverse? Any pointers would be helpful, if I need to do any thing else?
Gents... I want to know what you think on this: So the Storage VDC and N5Ks are connecting to Servers via FCoE, right? We configure, say N7K2 like this: vlan 200 fcoe vsan 200 int e3/1 (for the sake of the example) switchport switchport mode trunk switchport trunk allow vlan 200 spanning-tree port type edge trunk no shut int vfc 1 bind interfaces ethernet 3/1 no shut vsan database vsan 200 interface vfc1 exit NOW, my question is: Do need to add: switchport mode e switchport trunk allow vsan 200 under int vfc 1 and remove it from the vsan database or keep it the way I have it? we need spanning-tree port type edge trunk as it's going to a server...
