  5. Hi, Can anybody please explain the process of processing a crypto map on an interface ? Crypto Map priortiy ? Flow of packet from Engine to interface and then processing of crypto map ? I am trying to do S2S between R1 & R2 and Remote access between a client (connected to ISP) and R1, and if the priority/line entry of Crypto Map (Remote Acess) is > Crypto Map (S2S) then VPNs stop working properly. (e.g. for RA crypto map entry is at line 10 and for S2S crypto map entry is at 111)
  6. Hey all I have a Cisco ASA 5510 with the public interface connecting to a router owned by the ISP. The network between the router and the firewall uses the public IP addresses 203.0.113.0/28. We bought a new public IP address block (192.0.2.16/28) and the ISP router routes this range to our public IP address (203.0.113.2). Is it possible to use our new address range for static NAT and if so, can I use all 16 IP address for NAT? Since the ISP router routers all 16 IP addresses from 192.0.2.16 through 192.0.2.31 to my firewall, can I create NAT commands like (config)# static(inside, outside) 192.0.2.16 172.0.16.5 netmask 255.255.255.255 tcp 0 0 udp 0 I would assume this to be possible but I am unable to test this on the production firewall and don't have a lab setup.

Everything worked well up to the point where I received this error “The program can’t start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer.” error on Windows To resolve this issue, I downloaded Microsoft visuals C++ redistributable 2010 for 32 bits version. This solved the problem and I moved on. Everything worked well till the point when I wanted to connect to smart management center from my windows machine. (Smart console, Smart management center and smart gateway all are on different machines. I was using smart dashboard to connect to smart center and got this error "Connection cannot be initiated. Make sure that the Server '<Security Management IP address>' is up and running." I checked gui client was configured correctly, connectivity between server and PC is without any issues, firewall is turned off on windows machine. I did cpstop and cptart as well but issue is not resolved... I am looking for some help on this... is it a known issue? If yes, what's the resolution. Any help will be appreciated. thanks

  14. Hi folks, I have installed ASA CX module with the management IP address in the network 192.168.1.0/24. My internal users are also within the 192.168.1.0/24 network. The ASA inside interface is not in this network rather it is using 10.0.0.0/24 network. The internal user are going to the Internet through a router.I can ping that router from the ASA. The problem is the CX module isn't able to monitor the traffic from my internal users destined to the Internet through the router. I need some help to fix this issue.
