    Book of GNS3

Build Virtual Network Labs Using Cisco, Juniper, and More by Jason C. Neumann May 2015, 296 pp. ISBN: 978-1-59327-554-9 GNS3 is open source software that uses emulated router and switch hardware on Windows, OS X, and Linux to create a real world environment of complex networks. You can use GNS3 to experiment with new network features or to verify configurations for later deployment on real devices, making it an excellent tool for network engineers, administrators, and anyone studying for Cisco or Juniper certifications. The Book of GNS3 teaches you to harness this tool to build and test your own network labs. You’ll learn to use GNS3 by following tutorial-based explanations, and each chapter introduces new concepts that build on skills from previous ones. Discover how to create and manage simple to complex networks in GNS3, using only a single computer or balancing the load across multiple computers, and stop reconfiguring your physical hardware every time you want to test something new. About the Author Jason C. Neumann is an active participant in the GNS3 project, supplying code, moderating forums, and beta testing the software on several platforms. He holds numerous network-related certifications, was one of the first Certified Novell Engineers in the United States, and has been Cisco-certified since 1999. He is the author of Cisco Routers for the Small Business (Apress). Table of Contents Introduction Chapter 1: What is GNS3? Metro Ethernet

Hey all Does anyone know whether Metro Ethernet is a good book to read in your preparation for the CCIE SPv4 exam? It is written by Sam Halabi, a name that rings a bell so I assume he must be a good author ;-) Edit: Sam Halabi wrote Internet Routing Architectures, in my opinion a pretty good book, though not useful (anymore) for your CCIE studies.
  9. does any body know if there is a restriction about the openbook materials on the lab exam (in other word can we have a printed or handmade written materials or does it restricted to the authorized or certain materials ) ? and can we freely search on it within the exam (specially within the cfg time)?
  10. hi, Is there something wrong with me, or is it the first 2 chapters of Jang's RHCSA/RHCE don't make sense, I want to follow the book, and have the same lab structure for better learning, but I think Jang wasn't clear on the partitioning to follow for the host machine. I have a 200GB hd, and I would appreciate any guidance on how to partition the hard drive, I know to host the VMs, you must have a large /var partition, what's the proportions to follow. Thanks
