    Did K2+

Continuing from day before yesterday (K4) and yesteray (K6), today I did K2+ from start to finish. Total time taken was five hours. Compared to K6 this is much easier, although i have a few lingering doubts: 1) Question: Avoid transmitting BPDUs on any access switchport on any of these ports, the ports should be shutdown automatically if SW recieves BPDU. Use single command. Doubt: Why do some people do the command on all four switches? To be it seems that access ports are found on SW1 and SW2 only so the bpduguard command should be applied to SW1 and SW2. Agree? 2) For STP, I was given the answer "spanning-tree vlan 1-1005 priority 0" but a part of me says 1-4094 is a safer answer, what do you think? 3) Question: Prevent SW4 from becoming root. Suggested answer from cciecert: use root guard on the trunk pairs going towards SW4 Doubt: Even with root guard applied, there can be a situation where SW4 thinks it's the root... right? 4) Is this line needed for the multilink answer: ppp multilink endpoint hostname cert uses it but my mind says not needed. Now on to some troubleshooting practice tickets! Anybody want to share dynamips rigs? I have about dozen variations of faults injected in to a dynamips TS3 topology. I can zip them up for you if you share your setups. By the way who was the person who started a similar .net file sharing thread few months ago? I forget the name Adios! -Nilesh
  3. Hi, could anyone share latest WB and Lab scenarios from IPX or INE? Everything that is outhere for Dynamips. Or some other good vendor who has Dynamips labs. Thx
  4. Hi all, I've recently obtained INE Vol 2 workbooks and I have the initial config that are free from ine's website. I notice when doing a few of the labs they mention things like "part of the IGP config is already done for you" .. .what is this referring to? I'm looking at what INE gives out for free and it's mostly blank configs.. no ip addresses even I may be overlooking something, and if I am please point it out.. any insight is appreciated! Thanks!
  5. Hello all, I want to start preparing fo the lab and I wil follow the INE workbook. I get that we can use IOU L2 image to practice swtching but what about the majority of INE labs that require only routers? Can't we practice these labs with dyamips instead of IOU? Does IOU have any advantages (more features, lighter)? Thank you
