  1. Hi all, I want here to share how to integrate Huawei NE40E routers VRP based with GNS3 without using Huawei eNSP tool. I manage to reverse engineer the NE40E VM to make it working standalone and get access as root to that VM to make necessary changes. This work took me 3 monthes of work. Step 1: Deploy the NE40E Huawei VM in VirtualBox Step 2: Open GNS3 and create a custom Cloud with attached configuration Step 3: Start the NE40E VM under VirtualBox (I create script to make things easy you can use then to start VM and routers) : start_stop_VM.bat Step 4:Start the router (using the script from the windows CMD) : start_stop_status_router.bat Step 5: under GNS3 connect the Cloud (step 2) to any other device under GNS3 And that's it Link of the VM and the needed scripts [Hidden Content] also youtube video I made to explain more details [Hidden Content] BR

  8. Hi Guys , Has anyone noticed the differences in GNS3 1.2 ( with iou-integration ) Vs IOU-WEB ? I found that , in GNS3 1.2 using iou image l2-adventerprisek9-15.1b , HSRP is not working . As soon as you fire the command , # standby 1 ip 160.1.10.2 the switch hangs and does not respond . Is it that web-iou is better than using GNS3 1.2 for Switching ? Please share your experiences with GNS3 1.2 with switching .

Hello Guys, I download a GNS3 Vol1(Download the INE’s v5 topology GNS3 configuration) I was able to run it but the problem is that in the topology interface like fa0/1 - fa0/13 are present but when I go to the console and enter "Show ip interface brief" I can only see two interface that is fa0/0 and fa0/1. Problem: In the topology (Just an example) The switch is connected like this (From fa0/1 - fa0/13) -----|*****************|--------Fa0/13 -----|*******SW*****||--------Fa0/1 -----|*****************|--------Fa0/17 But when I check "show ip interface brief" It only shows me 2 interfaces Fa0/0 Fa0/1 I want to upload a screenshot but It always says upload failed. Anybody who has solution for this? Thank you very much
  12. Is there any way to connect a lab to the internet _only_ using the wifi interface, say, en0 of a mba? (I read it's possible with virtual interfaces — that's not what I'm looking for) After connecting a router to the cloud and starting the former I get this message Does anyone know why?   15. Hi all, I would just like to know what is the better alternative for GNS3? I have been using it for some time now on my MBP but it seems that it is not holding up. My HW is: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 8GB 1600 DDR3 Is there another alternative that will not need so much RAM? Hope anybody can give inputs and documents that I can follow to install it... I'm a noob in Unix/Linux world so any step by step instrcutions with exact commands is GREATLY APPRECIATED. Cheers!!!

    I am using 3725 ios for ccier&s cert pcl workbook practise Hope i am am using latest one . Now i am planning to do tshoot section , which include 20-30 routers. which ios should i use, should i use diff ios for routers and switches?if yes which one? or should i use iou instead of gns3?or combining both ( i dont know how t combine gns3 and iou) how much ram required for my laptop, now mine is i3 processor and 3 gb ram ,
