  4. Finally iou-web 1.2.0 is out. A new graphical interface based on jsPlumb is available. The old interface (GraphViz) is still available. What's new: New dynamic NETMAP (jsPlumb) is available now you can move devices and plot the diagram you want. NETMAP diagrams will show also the interface type (e0/0 instead 0/0). Device status will refresh every few seconds without manual reloading the page. Added a "Select All" button when exporting, also "Config Pack" configs are showed as a single config. Export buttons will search for unix://running-config, then unix://startup-config and finally unix://config-xxxxx. Cloud device should work again. System status page will check every IOS you've uploaded and report if it "should" run or not. Folder organization is now possible: you can drag and drop lab/folder and organize them. What won’t work: Folder organization could suffers of few malfunctions. Next release should work better. If you have too many problem notify me about them and be patience. How to update Do not post useless "thank you" post. If you want to see the content of the hidden links Please use the "Thanks" button as shown in the announcements [Hidden Content] Posting an answer will NOT reveal the hidden content. All following useless "thank you" will be removed. [Hidden Content] What's next I'd like to implement a better image organization: someone ask me to link more images to one lab. Maybe next release will implement that. Initial Config organization: I don't know if put configs and labs in a single page or in different page. I think the first solution will be better but I'm not totally sure: so just tell me what you think. Ideas? Drop me an email and I evaluate your idea.
  5. I am presenting you with the CCIE POD / Linux VM with a web interface. To use this you do not need any knowledge of Linux. VmWare Workstation is inside, just install it and import this virtual machine. It will show you an IP address. Paste that IP address on your browser, everything after that is self-explanatory. FAQ 1. How to use this. I did not understand a single word you have said in the beginning ? Read How to use. 2. Please upload it on 4shared, extabit, rapidgator, NZBlinks.. etc. ? No. From now on the only way of upload will be BitToorent Sync. This is a distributed uploading system and will have very good performance. 3. Web interface is not working properly?. This will work only with Firefox for the moment. Any other browser, I have not tested it so I don't have any idea about the incompatibilities in other browsers. 4. NETMAP is leaking to the initial config? It does not affect the functioning of the routers. It is safe to ignore. I am waiting for Cisco to fix it. 5. What is the password for root ? cisco 6. I am using old/vew version VMware showing Hardware compatibility error ? On Vmware workstation on menu Select VM --> Manager --> Changer Hardware compatibility ... follow the instructions. 7. First Vmware ON shows VMware Question. Which one i need to select ? I moved it. FAQs will be updated as the thread grows with more questions. Please feel free to give a review. Latest public release Beta0.05 BitTorrent Sync secret key - RQA6R6IKPYGTFVDEXMCXGRLWDKMXQOCQ3 What is new: * Moved to Debian 7 Stable (there was a virus on the old image, God knows from where) * Upgraded Switch IOU image to a newer version * Upgraded Router IOU image to a newer version 15.2(4) * Disabled IPv6 on Debian * Added sniffing capability with samba sharing * Fixed showing of IP at boot * Fixed Narbik NETMAP bug related to frame-relay switch * Created frame-relay config for Narbik pods, is not included in the VM * Added a VCE file with newest CCIE Written questions Please note that if you would like to include some bug fix, some lab or any kind of corrected, new or updated information into this VmWare, YOU are the one who MUST create a post with all the information, where the problem is present, how do you reproduce the problem, how it should be compared to the original product, be as explicit as possible, MUST have all the info inside for everyone to understand it from that single post. Otherwise it can happen that you will not receive an answer from me. Reason for this is that in the last two weeks most of the time I spent was to explain to different persons why I did this like that, why is not different and this is really time consumming. I cannot explain to every guy on the internet that he is wrong, or to check if he is wrong or not.
  6. I updated iou-web, this is a sort of “rolling release” which means: it should work, it’s not complete, few bug needed to be fixed. Anyway I want to release because I need betatesters, and I think many new features could be useful. A rolling release means you should be prepared to debug. What’s new: max_input_vars: now default is 5000, for labs with many devices; device status: solved overhead problem, now you should see one GET every two seconds; software update: a daily software update check is performed using http connection; license: now you can edit your license using a simple form instead of uploading it; confirm box: confirm is required when deleting objects; input validation: input is validated before sending forms (not every form will be checked, so be sure you’re entering the right character set); implemented shell via browser using shellinabox; devices now use black link for Ethernet and orange link for Serial; added L2 Keepalive and Watchdog options: you can enable l2keepalive (L2 15.0) and disable watchdog in a per device behavior; remove the old static NETMAP (GraphViz); What should be fixed: on NETMAP, links end to the upper-left corner, I don’t know the reason, but if you slightly move each device they will be fixed (yes, you have to do every time); wrapper-linux should be rewritten to implement advanced features like “reset console” or a better error handling. hub positions won’t be saved/restored on NETMAP. How to update: on Red Hat/CentOS/Scientific Linux: make a snapshot/backup; simply type “yum clean all; yum update iou-web” or download the package manually; update the database. [*]on Ubuntu/Debian: make a snapshot/backup; update your repository (“[Hidden Content]) or download the package manually; install the deb package; update the database.
