  4. Hi guys I recently stumbled into some very strange issue with L3VPN When PE router advertise any inet-vpn unicast route to RR - BGP session torn down with notification "Code 3 Subcode 10 - Incorrect NLRI - Update prefix length 0 too long" and didn't come up again When PE router doesn't advertise inet-vpn unicast route to RR (for example, when I delete interface from routing instance config) - BGP session comes up and everything works fine Config is quite simple - BGP with family inet, inet-vpn unicast, inet6 labeled-unicast, l2vpn signalling. No policies, except next-hop-self on PE. Routing instance type vrf with just RD, vrf-target and interface All devices - Juniper MX80 with Junos 12.3R4 Any suggestions? Did anybody saw issue like that before?

  8. Hi All I wanted to take the Juniper specialits exam for the SP. I needed the JNCIA as the pre-req. My associate exam was due to expire at the end of March 2014. However I have gone on to cert manager and found my cert put into suspended status and they have mentioned that they are retiring a few exams at the end of the year. Is it just the case of now having to wait for the JNCIA exams to come out and do that before select the SP path. Please can some one provide info on this, as I feel Juniper have rolled this out verpy poorly. many thanks
  9. Hi, For all those emulating olive environment in VMWare, beware of the following: Every time you make a hardware change (like: add an interface) in the VM, VMWare will automatically revert the setting scsi0.present back to true. This causes the system to halt somewhere in the boot process with strange watchdog errors... the only solution is to stop the VM. EXIT VMWARE!!! edit the vmx file for the scsi0.present to be false again. RESTART VMWARE!!! start vm (everything will be back to normal)... or not, but than you screwed around too much :-p Hope this solves some of the problems you had, with systems not coming up again anymore. Cheers, J.
