Good Morning friends Have doubt in K6 EEM. 5.2 Embedded Event Manager On R3 configure an EEM applet named "CONF_CHANGE" (without the quotes). >>The EEM applet should append the output of "show clock" to flash:ConfSave.txt. >> The EEM applet needs to activate every time someone make changes to the configuration. >> Also, a syslog message has to be generated with the string "Configuration changed" (without the quotes). Doubtful sentence :- The EEM applet needs to activate every time someone make changes to the configuration As far as I understand, for any configuration change, we need to save " sh clock" in flash file named ConfSave.txt Meaning 1 >> After getting into Configuration mode , for each line changes we need to save "sh clock'" in flash file. Meaning 2 >> After getting into Configuration mode, for all the changes , we need to save "sh clock'" in flash file, after coming out from configuration mode , Example : we have added/Modified 10 lines , so we need to log the same in flash file 10 times or only once. Meaning -1 , it will log 10 times Meaning - 2 , it will log only once after coming out from configuration mode.   4. Hi Team , I am having my lab exam next week , And currently I am going thru the chages that has happened in TS5 as well as in MSDP. Apart fron this , For LAB I am using forums soln. WIth lenonardo's K6 , Titanic's K7 and easynet's K8. Can someone confrm , with these soln. I m pretty sure these are 100% cocrrect one as seems o be worknig fine on IOU. But then too Just wanna confirm once more. These were released , i guess in start of oct.

For MST2 no problem but SW2 appears to be root for both instances.I also tried priority 0, 4096 and root primary/secondary. Any ideas from experts would be appreciated.

    The question says: 2.1 Configure OSPF Area 0, 142 and 51 as per diagram - OSPF process ID can be any number - Router ID must be stable and must be configured using the IP Address of Lo0 - Lo0 interfaces must be advertised in the OSPF area as shown in the IGP topology diagram and must appear as /32 routes - Ensure that all switches attached to the VLAN 123 exchange routing updates primarily with SW1 and then SW2 (in case SW1 goes down) Use highest numerical values - Make sure that all 3 prefixes for the backbone links (150.BB.YY.0/24) appear as OSPF External Type 2 routes in routing table - Do not create any additional OSPF areas. Do not use any IP address not listed in the diagram Everything is easier, my doubt is: - Make sure that all 3 prefixes for the backbone links (150.BB.YY.0/24) appear as OSPF External Type 2 routes in routing table So we have BB1 attached at R3, BB2 attached at R2 and BB3 attached at SW2 as the diagram shows... In the CCIECERT wb and at solution from CCIESOLDIER, on R3 and SW2 they do not redistribute connected interfaces facing with BBs. Maybe because they will be redistributed in the next session by RIP and EIGRP. Is this right?   9. Hello all, Looking for assistance in finding a logical diagram for K6/K6++. Trying to reverse engineer it, but the initial configs I have are not correct, I don't think - at least, they don't add up to VLANs in the solution. Hard to really understand how things work without a solid diagram (or make a good L2 to L3 diagram). Thanks in advance.

  18. Gents... The BB devices should not have any effect on spanning-tree decision. So the configs should be: SW1 - SW3 int f0/10 spanning-tree bdpuguard disable spanning-tree bpdufilter enable Including spanning-tree guard root will cause a spanning-topology change which violate what the question asked for as seen in the syslog message: %SPANTREE-2-ROOTGUARDBLOCK: Port 1/1 tried to become non-designated in VLAN xx. Moved to root-inconsistent state I'm not sure why those whose passed K6 used root guard, and of course you wouldn't know if you got it right since when you pass, you don't see your score. BR, DL
  19. Folks, I was thinking and after study the INE workbook 2 times and watch a bunch of INE videos, I decided to focus on technologies that are showing up in the Lab frequently. Thus'll make sure that in the case of Cisco make any modification in the Lab already mapped here in the forum I will be able to resolve them.   20. Hi Guys.. I failed K6.. MSDP and K6 is same as here.. But i got too excited and failed k6.. im really disappointed about me.. it was my 1st attempt.. Will be going for the 2nd ASAP... Lincc thanks for always answering my K6 queries. I always wanted to get MPLS and K7 in exam. Lucky for me i got MPLS and i was afraid when i got k6 because i have alot of confusions in its solution. OSPF question, R20#ping 192.168.20.1 source lo3 Fault: 1) In R27 interface lo2, 10.2.2.2 255.255.255.255 was configured and it was advertised in to ospf as network 10.2.2.2 0.0.0.0 area 0 Fault: 2) In R21, under the ospf , area 1 range 10.1.1.26 0.0.0.0 not-advertise, was configured. Solution: 1) change the area as network 10.2.2.2 0.0.0.0 area 1 2) router ospf R21: area 1 nssa translate type7 suppress-fa I did not touch R25 lo1 as /32 will be advertise by default for a loopback interface. 4. BGP question, all PE router must see lo1 of the other three PEs with two available paths Fault: In R2 , in policy-map , drop was configured and the policy map was applied in control plane Solution: changed drop to no drop Note: after change this in R2 ospf and bgp neighborship came up with all other PEs. 5. Host 171.1.1.1 attached R8 cannot ping host 171.2.2.2 Fault: 1) R4 MPLS neighbor ship didn’t came up with R1 and R2. In R1 and R2 access 111 was configured and where they permitted tcp, ospf, bgp etc. and it was applied in R1 E2/0 and R2 E3/0 as ip access-group 111 in 2) exort and import in R4 and R5 were different Solution:1) in the last line i added permit tcp any any eq 646 ( neighbors came up) 2) export and import map in our router is 10:10 while it is 100:100. Just add import route 100:100 where there is 10:10 while 10:10 is added to where there is 100:100 6. IPV6 Fault: In R5, only ipv6 address was configured, Solution: enable IPV6 unicast-routing, under the 3 interfaces ipv6 ospf 1 area 0 and ipv6 router ospf 1 Since R8 is host I added ipv6 address autoconfig default. ( it didnt take this word and said it is already configured with this) 7. Traffic marked with ip precedence 4 and coming from host 10.1.1.1….. Fault: class-map match-any SILVER Match access-group 134 Match ip precedence 5 access-list 134 permit ip any any precedence flash Solution: I did not configured access-list 134 permit ip any any precedence flash-override as just class-map will do it. class-map match-any SILVER Match access-group 134 No Match ip precedence 5 Match ip precedence 4 8. R27 Ethernet E0/1 supposed to stay administratively enabled…. Fault: event syslog pattern “interface EthernetO/1, changed state to down” action 1.2 cli command “interface eO/1” Solution: change “O” to 0, and changed state to administratively down” 9. EIGRP question, Host 10.1.116 attached to R16 is not able to Telnet … Fault:1) In R19 Policy-map police rate 8000 class UDP police rate 8000 exceed-action drop 2) all the ips were excluded Solution: 1) changed to transmit, it is started working 2) remove the excluded range and put new ip dhcp exclude-add (only the ip add of R19) 10. NAT Fault: NAT was swapped. In R22, interface lo0 Ip nat inside ip nat outside source route-map NAT_IN interface Loopback0 ip nat outside source route-map NAT_IN_HTTP interface Ethernet1/0 Changed the nat statement as ip nat inside source route-map NAT_IN interface Ethernet1/0 overload ip nat inside source route-map NAT_IN_HTTP interface Loopback0 overload For K6 I used bpduguard disable and bpdufilter en for monitor session ( vlan 11 rx in sw1 ,, vlan 22 rx in sw2) didnot attempt OER In advanced IPV6 in used: ip flow-export template timeout 2 multicast only under sw 1 vlan 123: ip pim dr-pri <max-val> ( it only asked for sw1, if sw1 was down anyone could take role of dr) Dhcp: i didnot use: ip dhcp snooping limit-rate 150 and i used : ip verify-source port-security for WCCP i didnot use access-lists for EEM i used ".*%SYS-5-CONFIG_I.*" ( which i really have doubt on, after talking with proctor i was sure that it was only asking to generate msg whenever a real change in configuration is done , not when we exit the configuration mode..........
